Our sincere apologies for the delay in getting another blog to you - we have been travelling like 2 people possessed and since our last blog we have been from Paris to Frankfurt and then to Lyon in France.
I will be posting a detailed blog in the next day or two and promise to astound you all with tales of our latest adventures. Apologies that the photos haven`t been coming out - will try to fix that for the next blog.
To whet your appetites, the next blog will describe:
1) Our 4 days in Paris including the Tour Eiffel, the Louvre, Sacre Coeur and other spots
2) Travelling from Paris to Frankfurt on the actual train that broke the rail speed record in Nov 2007 of 548 kph
3) Picking up our motorhome and spending the night in the world`s worst camping ground
4) Driving a 3.5 tonne motor home at 130 kph on the wrong side of the road (meaning the right side over here off course) for 740 kms between Frankfurt and Lyon in the one day
5) Shopping in a small town called Dardilly in a shopping centre that makes Westfield`s look like the corner store.
And lots more! Have I got your interest? Certainly hope so! Just having some difficulties from a technical perspective but promise to address these in the next day or so - stay tuned and I will reveal all.

ReplyDeleteWe are thoroughly enjoying this blog of yours. You will never never regret this written journal. It is fantastic!!!!! 19 sleeps until we fly out. After a fruitful week with Qantas re our flights and upgrades, we now have a few changes. We have been able to depart Heathrow 9 hour earlier and now arrive in Rome on Friday the 29th May at 12.40pm so we will see you at the apartment hours earlier than planned. We will ring you to find out where you are at. I know that you arrive the same day. We have to stay in Rome an extra night now as we have been able to upgrade to Business Class from Hong Kong to Sydney. We are awaiting confirmation from the Hotel at Rome Airport to stay an extra night. Lots and Lots of Love to You both, Lone
Hi rick and Jane, Have finally attained your blog address from Kate McCleish. Sounds like the trip of a lifetime. We have only read about a 3rd so far but can imagine everything due to Ricks fantastic journalling. Perhaps he has a 2nd calling as a writer. I am reading to Graham whilst trying to eat his yummy cooked breakfast,- the bacon and eggs are getting cold. We are all well and planning a trip overseas next year so you adventures are inspiring us.
